About Us

Robby married Kristin, his high school sweetheart, in 2008 and currently resides in Beavercreek, Ohio. They have 4 forever children and have been foster parents since 2015. They have a dog and manage some chickens and bees away from their home.  He is a member of Sovereign Grace Church in Dayton, The Centerville Noon Optimist Club, an Army veteran,  a Wright State and Cochise College graduate, and a lifelong Dayton resident, graduating from Wayne High School. His hobbies include playing video games with his kids, hiking with the family, spending time with his friends, listening to books/podcasts/music, watching soccer/football/basketball, traveling, and dreaming.

“I started the company in March of 2019 because I worked part-time for another paint company in the area and realized a market that was under-served and needed a special touch: cabinet refinishing. The previous company was more of a general, all-purpose painting company, and I found myself doing cabinet work for them, which I realized I enjoyed doing. However, after joining a couple of painting and refinishing communities online, I learned that we were doing a pretty lackluster job out of youthful ignorance and that there was a legitimate opportunity to build a business on proper, professional refinishing. So, I ventured off on my own and started JSP and have been practicing and learning every day since – something I expect will continue until I die. Now we’re carrying that same devotion to other arenas of painting to deliver an exceptional experience to most other painting project types.”
